it's good for your health

*UPDATE*:He quits all his govt and political posts, just what the doctor ordered.
Looking at the bright side, at least he can 'enjoy it more' and nobody shall give a damn.

'Lingam tape'  has a new nemesis, apparently an influential politician was caught with his pants down:

Bolehland Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek admitted he is the politician in the sex DVD circulating in Johor (more here)

Look who's talking? Recently during a conference he adviced people to practice safe sex and be faithful towards their partner.

hahaha....but i respect his honesty and guts to admit it though

Reggae hit LAundry

A few months back I had a small chat with Joe Kidd at his Ricecooker shop. Nothing fancy, we just conversed about the scene old and new. Among others he recommended me to checkout  this reggae/soul/funk band The Aggrobeats which he spoken highly of.

A side project of Edy and Bakri (of the Gerhana Skacinta fame), The Aggrobeats draw inspirations from current reggae favourite sons, Los Angeles' The Aggrolites to soul legend James Brown. and when the band was slated to perform at Laundry during the 'Alompak Ago Go' series last week, i was tempted to find out.

As quoted from their Myspace bio; 'an aggressive music with an aggressive attitude on stage, the band crystallized their musical ideals for the genre by cutting down the ska beat and mixed with funk and soul into it '...and they certainly proved that

Vox Hunt: Good Flick

What was the last good movie you watched?

i would have to say the recent Transformers movie (wrote about it on earlier post here and here).  Kind of bring back all the tragic memories of having to catch the cartoon

TV series right on time immediately after religious class back in the late 80s.

Despite mixed reviews from film critics, i would have to say that this 'action+comedy+tons of CGI+some romance(?)' adaptation is Michael Bay's best film yet, after all the duds he produced all this years (remember 'The Island' and 'Pearl Harbour'?)

According to this, Paramount and DreamWorks have ramped up development on a sequel slated to be release on summer of 2009. Stoked?

actually i haven't finished watching this documentary yet... i'm halfway thru,  and its good.

" Do you think this is 1976 and you're talking to the Sex Pistols? Piss off or i'll piss all over you! " This is what Joe Strummer spits at a Brit journalist who draws his ire in an early 80s interview.
Born John Graham Mellor, Strummer was many things - diplomat's son, art-school dropout,  squatter, bandleader, humorist, poet, activist, a coward, a genius and a bully to all who knew him

The man who led The Clash thru their decade (76-86) of punkrock is examined from all angles in The Future is Unwritten, a life spanning doc directed by Julian temple

packed with archival footage of The Clash and slew of good/bad testimonials from former bandmates, ex-girlfriends and celebri-fans (Johnny Depp, John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, Matt Dillon, Martin Scorsese and U2's Bono)
