just wanted to share these European Tour pix of Rise Against & Strike Anywhere on their stop at Vienna, courtesy of the ace talent of MCK Photography.
Hometown heroes Rentokill was the opener
Chicago's Rise Against is among the frontrunners of melodic punk today, but their recent album was a letdown. That being said, the quartet's 2003 release 'Revolutions Per Minute' is listed inside my top 30 albums of all time
I haven't listen much to Strike Anywhere apart from their sophomore effort 'Dead FM'. Heard a lot of good vibe about this Richmond, Virginia-based hardcore punkers.
Of all the 3, Vienna's Rentokill is my favourite. Their sonic charge of politically-infused melodic punk/hardcore reminds me very much of Propagandhi. The fact that mainstay indie labels like Fat Wreck Chords and Bridge Nine not signing them is almost criminal
