Unique galaxy photo released by the Hubble Space Telescope, NASA
WASHINGTON - On the anniversary-21, NASA released the Hubble telescope images of galaxies uniquely shaped roses.
Unique Photo is composed of two galaxies that look intertwined with each other with the belt fastener in the form of millions of stars. Similarly, as quoted by Channel4, Saturday (22/04/2011).
Two galaxies, known as ARP 273 is located in the constellation Andromeda is 300 million light years from Earth.
The photos were taken in December last year, and released by NASA to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Hubble space telescope.
Telescope launched in April 1990 on mission STS-31 on Discovery. Since then, the telescope has become one important tool in the world of astronomical research today.
At the age of 21, the telescope has been around the Earth as much as 115 thousand times, which can be equated with a flight distance of 3 billion miles.
Through the Hubble Telescope, astronomers have managed to publish almost 10 thousand papers, which makes it as one important instrument in the world of astronomy today.
Hubble Space Telescope is also the longest space telescope in operation.
