SEOUL-South Korean carmaker, Kia Motors, has been displaying a new electric concept car at the Seoul Motor Show 2011 exhibition yangtengah now in progress.
With the appearance of the car, counted three times within one year Kia introduced the electric car. Dubbed Naimo (from the Korean word "Ne-mo", which means'the square'), a unique car said to be a crossover utility vehicle (CUV) has a length of 3.9 meter.
The car combines the elements of art, as well as technological sophistication typical of Korea. The unique thing of this car is the use of asymmetric sunroof, windshield hinga which connects to the side and front lamps, rear with the latest Light Emitting Diode (LED).
Uniquely, Naimo also do not have the wiper blades as is the windshield - but uses a high intensity air jet at the base of the windscreen which performs the function of 'air wipers'. conventional door mirrors have also been replaced with a camera mounted on the A-pillar.
As quoted from autoevolution, Friday (4/1/2011), Naimo uses an electric motor Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor PMSM. The motor is claimed to be capable of producing power to 80 kilowatts (or 107 horsepower) and torque of 280 Newton meters. As an energy storage stun a lithium ion polymer battery with a capacity of 27 kilowatt hours of mounted below the car deck.
When the battery is fully charged, the car was able to travel distances up to 200 kilometers (124 miles). "Naimo will join the fleet of hybrid, electric and fuel-cell vehicle, which is widely encouraged in the various conditions to develop future production models with zero or reduced emissions significantly," said Kia.
