Well, what can i say? I absolutely loved it! It felt weird having to think you can breathe underwater or be deep down 20-30meters for an hour not needing any oxygen. After all the excitement from my diving friends, and from the video we had to view during the course. We headed down to the shore with our heavy ass equipment and tank to do our first confine water training. At first it was so difficult, and after i took 4-5 breathes without panicking, i felt like those fishes swimming next to me. Felt so surreal, i am actually breathing underwater?! We continued to finish all our skills before heading to our first dive the next afternoon.
Tiga Ruang was the first dive site we went to, unfortunately we did not capture any pictures due to our noobness level, so baby and i decided to leave the camera back home and focus on our buoyancy instead haha :D We only brought the camera out at the fourth dive onwards, but we were so eager to test our "underwater casing" and this is what we took at the shore while snorkeling.. haha!
Chilling with Andy, our instructor
Okay, off to our fourth dive at Batu Layar, it was indeed our Open water graduation dive! We had to get our compass navigation, and hovering right, thank goodness everything went well, and we passed with flying colors! It was also the first time i took the camera out, so we were shooting at everything and anything, lol, but our buoyancy weren't that good yet so we kinda struggled a bit while taking photos =P But that's not going to stop us from shooting, here are some of the shots from that dive, enjoy =)
Baby and Andy doing cesa (control emergency swimming ascent) If you ever run out of air, you gotta do this to get up.

If i am not wrong, this is a group of Bat Fish

Alright there aren't many nice fish shots in that dive, but it was just memorable knowing we finally finish our open water course! But i am super lazy to post dive by dive, so i will just randomly upload them. Trust me, this section will not disappoint you =) I will try my best to name the type of fish but if i get it wrong, my bad =P Enjoy the underwater marine life's!!

Our 7th dive was at Teluk Pauh, it was one of my most memorable one. I saw a lot of cool marine lifes, and guess what? I got most of them on camera! This dive was lead by one of the other instructor called Nafie. So happy to have dived twice with him, he knows where all the fish are hiding and where they usually be. This is his 8th year in Perhentian island, and he has seen the Whale Shark each damn year, so far none yet 2009, but i don't think he really cares anymore. LoL, anyway enjoy the pictures below!
Trigger Fish, this dude is scary! He attacks when he feels stress or disturbed!

NICE? HAHAHA Yes, i know! It's brilliant. I have viewed the pictures a million times now, and each time i go through them again, it gives me goosebumps. But that isn't all, i still have a lot of other pictures to share with you guys, but i think it's enough for this entry. I shall create a part 2 for this Perhentian entry, hopefully with videos if i am not too lazy. What can you expect in the part 2? Hmm let me see, my favourite dive of all, the Night dive! =) Eventho the pics are pretty bad (IT'S REALLY DARK and the camera somehow suck at night) But i will still post some good ones and my last few dives in the island =)
Til' then, good night people and if you are interested to dive in Perhentian. Do let me know, i will try to hook you up with my wonderful instructor. Cheer's all
