Sudamericano Sub-20 Perou 2011 : Brasil Paraguay

The U-20 continental tournament for South America, the 2011 South American Youth Championship is being held in Peru from 16 January to 6 February 2011. There are some serious qualifying stakes to this tournament, with invites to the 2011 U-20 World Cup, the 2011 Pan American Games, and the 2012 Summer Olympics on the line. The tournament begins with a group stage, with the 10 teams divided into two groups. The top three from each group will qualify for a final group stage, which will be played over 5 matchdays between 31 January and 12 February. The top four finishing teams earn trips to both the U-20 World Cup and the Pan American Games, and the top two teams also get spots in the 2012 Olympics.

The most memorable match of the Tournoi de France was the 3-3 draw between Italy and Brazil, which included two goals from then 22-year-old Alessandro Del Piero and one goal apiece from Romário and Ronaldo as well as one own goal from each of the teams. Del Piero was the top goalscorer of the tournament with three goals scored while Romário scored twice.

O jogo não valeu título, mas dificilmente sai da memória de qualquer um dos mais de 60 mil que compareceram ao Morumbi naquele dia chuvoso. Depois de ver César Maluco marcar duas vezes, os corintianos foram para o vestiário perdendo de 2 a 0. Aos 24 minutos do segundo tempo, porém, tudo estava empatado. Até Leivinha, um minuto depois, colocar o Palmeiras novamente à frente. Aos 27, para matar qualquer um do coração, Tião empatou. Tudo parecia encaminhar para o empate, mas Mirandinha não quis assim. Aos 43 minutos, ele marcou o gol da vitória daquela que seria a virada mais inesquecível da história do clássico.

Diego Maradona helped Argentina tie 7-7 with Brazil in an indoor soccer exhibition match between former national team players from both countries on Tuesday (March 14).
The Argentinean captain scored directly from a free kick and made two other goals as his side fought back from 7-5 down to draw the match in Buenos Aires.
The match was the second in a series of games which began on Saturday in Brasilia, the first game being won 8-4 by Argentina with Maradona scoring two goals. The final game is due to take place in Brazil.
Amongst the former internationals taking part were Dunga, Bebeto, Zetti, Aldair, Careca and Muller for Brazil, while Argentina included Alejandro Mancuso, Jose Basualdo, Sergio Goycochea and Jorge Burruchaga alongside
