United States: Mubarak Immediately Resign


WASHINGTON - The United States (U.S.) urged the Government of Egypt to start a dialogue with the opposition as soon as possible. The U.S. government reportedly also urged President Hosni Mubarak to step down from his post immediately.

The New York Times, Friday (02/04/2011) launch, President Barack Obama discussed a plan to transfer power to a transitional government which is now headed by Vice President Omar Suleiman.

According to reports received from some officials of the environment of President Obama and Arab diplomats said the United States is still seeking military support from Egypt, although Mubarak himself against the idea.

Officials from both countries are still be talking about plans for the Vice President Suleiman to start the process of constitutional reform.

Later this transitional government will invite leaders from various opposition parties, including the Muslim Brotherhood has been banned by the Egyptian Government. They will discuss the implementation of free and fair elections in September.
