First and Second leg
En huitième de finale aller de la Coupe du Roi, Le Real Madrid accueille Levante, modeste 16e de Liga. Attention toutefois à ne pas faire de faux-pas comme a pu le faire Barcelone à domicile devant l'Athletic Bilbao mardi soir.
Le Barça, tenu en échec sur sa pelouse par l’Athletic Bilbao mardi, la surprise fut de taille. Trop habitués à torpiller tous leurs adversaires, Barcelone et le Real Madrid ont donné de biens mauvaises habitudes aux parieurs. Il s’avère finalement que miser pour l’un de ces deux clubs revêt plus de l’instinct naturel que de toute autre forme de réflexion.
Le résultat du Barça démontre que la Coupe du Roi, tout comme la Coupe de France, est une épreuve différente de la Liga. Les effectifs tournent beaucoup et le concept du match aller-retour permet de s’offrir un joker. Le Real Madrid a fixé ses objectifs en début de saison de façon claire et carrée. Il faut tout gagner…La réception de Levante en huitièmes de finale aller n’a rien d’un match piège au demeurant. Le 2e de Liga contre le 16e, la balance penche évidemment du côté des Merengue. Surtout que dans l’antre de Bernabeu, les hommes de José Mourinho ont signé un 8 sur 8 du plus bel effet.
