The Oxbarrio University tradition of trashing examinees as they come out of their final exams.
My housemate finished his final exams yesterday. This I had to see with my own two eyes because I think this degree of his is just a front. A smoke screen. The same way that Miriam Santiago claims she has a degree from this university....
Anyways, we got him the usual stuff but decided not to trash him. Trashing is a tradition that dates back to god knows when. Basically, you spray the examiners with urine, feces, flour, champagne, chili con carne, and other disgusting stuff. The undergraduate finalists do this a lot and so every June, the streets of Oxbarrio smell of excrement. A minor inconvenience that annoys the city council. Thankfully, the city government is dominated by Socialists and Liberal Democrats who know how to have a laugh. (Remember when Tony Blair was trashed with purple flour? The pranksters only got a caution. In Gloria Arroyo's Evil regime, you'd be charged with sedition.)
I didn't want to engage in trashing yesterday as I was wearing a Balenciaga shirt. Mahal ha! Ano ako La Greta? Wala ako pambili ng bago every week dahil mura na ang tawag sa PLDT! Tsaka mula ng naghiwalay na kami ni Bilmaz Yektas (due to cultural deperenses - puputahin ako, gangster naman sya, so di kami compatible) wala na ako masyado datung. Kaya naman kahit lait-laitin ako ni Ashley na di ako nag-exam dito sa Oxbarrio, nakapag-exam naman ako sa Cambarrio. Tse! Mas mahirap exam doon noh! Yung exam ko 12 hours (6 hours for each two days, answer 6 questions out of 11.)! Ashley, mag-isip isip ka nga, parang entrance exam lang sa Ateneo and finals dito.
