There, Harry Potter killed by Vordemort.........but will he stay dead for long?
HRO Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit sent me over to da book istor get the first edition hardback of the last Harry Potter book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"....It was enjoyable, but not exactly a kid's book. Too many dead people. I guess one has to grow up with these books.
Of course there was a long queue but The Nashman doesn't do queues....binibigyan ko lang sila ng HMBAK look, areglo na lahat (HMBAK = haan/hendi mo ba ako kilala, lukdet?)
While waiting for midnight to strike, I was entertained by a man dressed as a wizard playing the guitar. Not exactly the type of Friday entertainment I'm used to....
There are two editions as usual, the adult version and the kid's version. I got the adult version which I intend to give to some random child back in my beloved Pelepens. He/She will just have to live with the scary cover instead of the Rainbow Brite edition...
Again, while the faithful were still queuing outside, I already got to skim the book. Ano masasabi ko, layp is not fer. Yang ang dulot ng hindi pag-inom ng Promil. You get ahead in life.
And so I read the entire thing quickly.
O ha, hindi ako gumasto at nag-aksaya ng panahon sa lokohang "Speed Reading" course noong High School kami. I think allegedly my classmate Erik Erasmus Tan is the "fastest" reader sa Boys' High at someone named Alithea Dacanay naman sa Gerls' High. Bah, parang yung binebenta ring "Scapular" noon. Maraming profitable scams noon. Anyways, for their sake, I hope meron nga sila napulot sa nasabing "Speed Reading" course...
What? Dumbledore lives? Ano ito? Parang "Death of Superman" or yung mga horror flicks na walang kamatayan yung mga characters?
Harry Potter and Dumbledore lives and so expect future books...
We should congratulate J.K. Rowling for sharing her imagination. I am not a big Potter fan but 350 million copies sold is impressive. Surely she did something right.
Anyways, HRO Karl Willem, PA/PR Gromit and The Nashman, from the bottom of our hearts will give this copy away to the first person who can answer this:
1. Why is it actually pointless to install more than 3GB of RAM?
2. What is the colour of The Nashman's underwear for sleeping?

Take note that this is a UK first edition hardback from Blackwell's Oxbarrio. Hindi ito National Bookstore mimeograph copy! Hindi rin ito USA version kung saan iniiba-iba ang wording. Remember the change from "Philosopher" to "Sorcerer" sa unang libro? Baket, low IQ ba sila sa bahaging iyon ng mundo? Pati pala Dark Materials Trilogy ni Pullman, iba ang titles sa Tate..
