the gaslight anthem- the '59 sound

New Jersey's The Gaslight Anthem’s debut album Sink or Swim turned a lot of heads upon its release last year, and the band was quickly singled out as one to watch for the future.
Their fresh blend of punk, soul and blues, which mainly due to their charismatic frontman Brian Fallon, might be punk rock's equivalent to NJ's other golden boy, Bruce Springsteen.

The band's second effort The '59 Sound arguably leapfrogs their impressive debut, which was one of 2007's best release. Packed full of vivid imagery and storytelling that resembles Born to Run/Darkness on the Edge of Town*-era Springsteen, The '59 Sound is an impeccable work of punk rock artsy
