Before you accuse me of being a lunatic, please hear my side first.
While I was channel surfing yesterday, I happened to see the trailer of X-Men First Class. So yeah I knew that James McAvoy (insert fan girl squeal here) would play professor X (I haven't seen any movie about X Men btw which sucks I know) but suddenly a thought occurred to me: he looks like somebody I know, I just can't put a name to him. A thing about me: I'm easily frustrated if I can't remember something.
It was the eyes. All I thought was "who is that person again? I know he's someone I know very well". I love James McAvoy (ever since I saw him in Penelope, and he reminds me of Ryan A.). And the fact that he is a Scot further intensified that (Ian Thornton = Scottish).
Then it hit me. Believe it or not, James kinda resembles my favorite football player, Mesut Ozil.
It may not be that visible, but the similarity is there (however faint that is). It was the defining moment of my football fangirling life (I'm exaggerating a bit). James McAvoy and Mesut Ozil? Hell YEAHHHHHHHH~

I have spoken my mind. I may be delusional but whatever. LOL. I'm just bored =))
Was it shocking to me? Did it surprised me? Was it humiliating to lose 3-1 in a final?
No would be the answer, if you were means you don't know much about football and definitely don't know how Barcelona team plays. There were no second guessing on how they will approach the final, pass, pass and keep passing, hold for possession, move when you are off the ball, hold some more and finally drill a diagonal or a straight direct through ball to beat the defenders on the run. Everyone knows how they play, but its how you stop it, can anyone do it? I have no idea, maybe you gotta play real dirty in order to do so. We are talking about the world best players in a team, Xavi the midfield maestro, a guy i often say have 3brains and 6eyes with the ball. Iniesta the baby looking heart breaker of a football match (ask Netherland & Chelsea) and not forgetting Lionel Messi who isn't human. Then there are 8 other players who can walk into any team in the world, so its a huge task to beat them. Obviously every team can be beaten, they lost a few games this year, but if they manage to play anything above 70% of their game, you are doomed and yesterday i rated them at 99% and thats because they conceded a goal to United.
Consolation prize for United is at least we turned up this year, compared to the final 2 years back (we lost 0-2) I honestly cant blame any players performance last night, i am sure there were a few who dint manage to play at their best, to name a few like Evra, Carrick, Valencia, Chicharito. But sometimes you need the ball to play well, in terms of statistics i think the average possession of the ball was about 70-30%, shots were about 17 to 3 or something in that range. You can't really focus too much at stats when you are up against this Barca team, most importantly is take chances if you get any. Wayne Rooney certainly did it, 1 shot on target and a goal! So to point fingers who suck on the night is just plain brutal. We have seen the best players and teams tried to mark them, and still find no answer. Netherlands tried 2 defensive midfielder (Van Bommel & Nigel De Jong), Germany tried (Bastian Schweinsteiger & Khedira) Real Madrid tried 5 times (manage to only win once) with some of the best players in the world (Xabi Alonso, Khedira, Diarra, Pepe, Sergio Ramos) not forgetting best tactical coach Jose Mourinho on their side too.
So another season comes to an end.. Overall i believe we did a great job on winning the league (one of the hardest in years) clinched the no.19 to be head and shoulder above the rest is a monumental achievement, so well done guys for that. To be so close in the FA Cup final & Losing in the final of the Champions League is just heart breaking. The squad isn't complete, hopefully and i believe we will sign a few key players for the 2011/2012 campaign we will come back stronger, faster, hungrier, focus ever. It wasn't the fitting end for all United fans, but congratulations once again to the Barcelona FC team, and many thanks to the whole Manchester United squad including the staffs and coaches for such a wonderful season! Never in my expectations thought we will be in the final at the start of the season.

Anyway, pag kasi umuulan, laging tinatakpan ni mama yung butas sa may CR (I mean yung nilalabasan ng tubig). Tapos habang nasa may terrace kami nina Mama at Papa, bigla na lang namin narinig yung boses ng kapatid ko, eh di pumasok si Mama. Yun pala bumaha na sa bahay namin! Buti na lang sa may CR pa lang (medyo mababa kasi yung place na yun). After macontain yung tubig, eh di nasa may labas kaming lahat. Si Mama and Papa ay nagpoponder kung ano yung dahilan at nagbaha (madaming basura sa likod, nagbara yung kanal, gagawa ng screen to filter the waste, at kung anu-ano pang bagay).
Nang biglang.... Nagtatawa yung kapatid ko. As in hagalpak ng tawa.
It turned out na, hindi naman pala natanggal yung pinangtakip ni Mama. Binuksan lang ni Oyo yung gripo tapos nakalimutan patayin. Buti na lang naalala niya agad kundi baka bumaha na talaga sa buong bahay namin :))
--------- Also, it amazes me how protective my Mom is of my brother (biglang nagEnglish?). I asked my mom about what she would do if she found out my brother's gotten someone pregnant. She then started on how pitiful the youngsters who have encountered such a predicament. My aunt then told her "Eh paano yan makakabuntis eh ni hindi nga nanliligaw? Wala man lang inuuwi sa bahay?"
Papa: Maguuwi ba yan ng babae sa bahay eh di nagpuputok sa galit ang ina niyan. Ako: Oo nga!
Papa: Naalala ko nung naguwi yan ng babae dito tapos nagalit si Mameng (nickname ni Mama)
Ako: HAHA. Oo nga. Bakit ba kulang na lang paalisin mo mama? Wala naman ginawang masama yung babae ah. Mama: Kuh, eh paano kung hindi na yun umalis sa bahay? Kung dito na tumira at hindi na umuwi sa kanila?!
Ako: Grabe naman! Naisip mo agad yun. As if naman magkakalakas ng loob yung babae na tumira dito. Eh sa'yo pa lang tatakbo na agad yun!
Mama: Tsaka na yung ganyan pag may trabaho na kayo.
Kahit na palaging nagsisigawan sina Mama at Oyo Boy, deep inside alam ko mahal niyan ang isa't isa! isa pang kwento ni Mama kagabi:
Mama: Hanggang nung limang taon pa yan dumedede pa sa akin yan.
Ako: Hindi nga? As in dede? Mama: Oo. Kahit anong gawin ko ayaw niyan uminom sa bote (unlike me na sa bote lang dumede). Kung anu-ano na nga ginawa ko, andyan yung lagyan ng luya yung *toot* para lang tumigil.
Ako: Mwahahahaha!
Mama: Pero ayaw pa din! Eh takot sa dugo eh di isang beses nilagyan ko ng lipstick yung *toot* Ayaw pa ding maniwala, lipstick lang daw yun. Eh di isang beses naligo ako tapos dala dala ko yung lipstick sa loob ng banyo, tapos nilagyan ko ng lipstick yung *toot* tapos lumabas ako at pinakita sa kanya, simula noon umayaw na yan.

Merong mga nagsasabi na may mga magulang na swerte sa anak, and I would like to believe na swerte sina Mama at Papa sa amin ng kapatid ko. Ewan ko, nafefeel ko lang. After naming makagraduate I'm sure we'll do our best para sa kanila, para naman masuklian ang paghihirap nila para sa amin.
And I hate to admit it, pero mas reliable ang kapatid ko kesa sa'kin. Mas marami siyang alam na gawaing bahay, marunong/magaling siyang magluto at kayang kaya niyang maka-adapt sa kahit anong bagay. Niloloko ko nga siya minsan sabi ko "Magabroad ka pagka graduate mo tapos sa'yo na lang ako aasa"

Manchester United definitely didn't have the best team this season. But looks like it really doesn't matter if United needs a world class player to win silverware. The Spirit of United is what matters to win Silverware. Its difficult to pick one player out to say that he was the key this season for United's success, but that makes it even interesting. So here is an effort to figure it out.

What an achievement by Sir Alex Ferguson, when he arrived at United from Aberdeen in 1986, his goal was simple "To win that first title", the aim was to match Liverpool's performance and league record, and to be successful ourselves. Mission well and truly accomplished, I salute you Sir Alex Ferguson, simply the best manager of all time. I am honestly lost for words, beyond my craziest dream.
You bow to no one Sir.
Many people calls this the weakest Man United squad to ever win the title, are they for real? How this people come out with statement baffles me, we may not have the BEST squad in terms of all stars, but hell we have SPIRIT, HEART, DETERMINATION, HUNGER, PRIDE & BELIEVE! Something no money in the world can buy, United class of 2010/2011 has proved their doubters - wrong.
While Chelsea signed the likes of David Luiz, Ramires, Fernando Torres for around 90Million Pounds, Man City signed the likes of Balotelli, Dzeko, Silva, Yaya, Kolarov, for over 100Million Pounds and even Liverpool signing the likes of Andy Carrol & Luis Suarez for over 55Million Pounds, the two signings of Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez and Chris Smalling for around 16Million Pounds have proved the most successful. It's incredible to think of how amazing the little pea has done on his debut season, a young kid all the way from Mexico had no experience of European football came and scored 20goals (all competitions) from only 26starting appearances. He is without doubt the signing of season or not the decade, he among a few others will be the future of this fantastic club!
Special shout out to a few outstanding performers this season, Dimitar Berbatov for one, top scorer of the league at 21goals has done brilliantly despite losing his place to Chicharito in the last few months of season. No one will forget his amazing hatrick against Liverpool, the 5goals against Blackburn, a few dying equalizing goals, his contribution has been vital and i for one believed he has repaid every single penny of the 30million spent 3seasons ago.
Our No.1 Edwin Van Der Sar, oh how dearly much we will miss you! The flying Dutchman announced his retirement earlier this year, however the last action of him at Old Trafford will likely be lifting the Barclay Premier League high for the 4th time in his United career. There will be no better fitting way to end his career by lifting the European Champions League on the May 28th, i really hope we can do it! There were several pleads around the world to encourage Edwin to stay another year, but highly unlikely that will happen :( VDS you will be missed!
Nani! to me player of the season, often regard as the failed Cristiano Ronaldo, but truth to be told they are both different kind of players. With Valencia out 3quaters of the year, he has single handedly assisting/creating 18 and scoring a total of 9goals. Brilliant job!
Nemanja Vidic, our captain fantastic! Often without his partner Rio Ferdinand this term, partner with the likes of O'shea, Smalling, Evans and still able to do his job right! Arguably the best defender in the world, not forgetting a very good attacker in set-piece attack too. Scored a few vital goals, Aston Villa.. Chelsea are just a few to mention. In my mind should have won the player of the season in the League.
Finally not to forget Giggs, Scholes, Oshea, Da Silva twins, Park, Evra, Carrick and the others, marvelous effort! Special congratulations to Mr Legend Ryan Giggs, 12 league title medals, and still tearing defenders at 38years old! Unbelievable guys, this is what make us such a great team. We're not a star studded team, but a true talented one.
Now that the league season is almost over (left 1more game, which does not matter if we win or lose) We now left the European Champions League final to think about, the biggest cup match for football clubs. Our opponents, Barcelona...again, just 2 years back they murdered us in Rome (2-0) I remember watching the match while i was on holiday in Hong Kong, i was dead quiet not because there weren't people cheering for United but the team did not show up on the pitch. So lets pray this time we get it right!
To conclude this special write up of us clinching the 19th, i will end it from continuing the start. For me this has to given full credit to Sir Alex Ferguson, the man at the helm for our club, the man players don't want to disappoint. The players have done him proud, not only this group of squad, but whomever that has played under him. It has been a real team effort, every player played their part, he has installed the never say die attitude in each and everyone of them, and the players carries it out to the pitch. We never give in, never give up, and this is what makes Manchester United, and that is why i love this club. MUFC FOR LIFE.
