Holiday #2

PERHENTIAN ISLAND 23rd September - 29th September 2010

What more can i say about this little paradise? My second home? I wish... I heard so much about this island before i went there last year February 2009. I wasn't really an island lover before this, until that trip with my girlfriend. Plus she's a real hardcore beach lover, so she sort of play a role into getting me loving islands. If you have not been there, what the hell are you waiting for? Some island you gotta spend x2 or even x5 more than this and you might not even get whatever you googled for. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful quality time, this is the place to be.

I can still remember quite clearly the first trip we made there together, we got burned like mad bitches. I had pink lips and a nose so red you could tell from miles away, and my girlfriend was so dark and burnt that the top part of her lips looked like fine hairs haha !! In fact it was dry skin, we both look like idiots. Worst part was i had to work the next day we reach in KL, all my customers and colleagues was freaking laughing at me -______- Pink lips + Red nose skin peeling the way to go! We have learn our lessons and from that trip onwards, we knew which SPF lotion to get and etc..

So moving along to this trip! 6nights 7days, most of you probably think what the hell we're gonna do for so long. Hmm there are plenty we have not discovered yet, like going to the Party beach aka. Long beach (Small island), Jungle tracking, and other part of the Big islands. We will definitely do everything this time, and not forgetting my favorite hobby now, Scuba Diving!! I can never get bored of the sea here, so much marine life, and the corals are beautiful. Shame on me, i accidentally bang and killed one my last visit! :( I was busy taking photos swimming backwards and BAM! Knock one hard coral and it broke like a finger long? Ouch....Oops hopefully it doesn't happened anymore.

I am about to hop to bed now, its been a long and pretty crap day for me. Hopefully everything resumes to normal soon, and my dream for this trip is to meet the whale shark, together with my baby, nothing can ever top that experience =)

La Liga Matchday One: Barcelona, Atletico and Sevilla the early pacesetters

Life in La Liga didn't get off to the best of starts for Jose Mourinho. A trip to plucky Mallorca was never going to be an easy task, but after yet another summer of splashing the cash, and with a fair few weeks of preparation, you would have expected Real Madrid to pick up the three points. Nevertheless, Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo were the main culprits, as Madrid wasted numerous chances, while Mallorca keeper Dudu Aouate put in an inspired shift. For me, Real Madrid still lack an identity, something which plagued them all last season. With the players they have at their disposal they will always get chances, plenty of them. But to overhaul Barcelona and the cream of European football they really need to find a style to call their own and stick to it. Luckily for them, Mourinho is a master in this art. Just look at what he did with Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan. His teams may not have won many plaudits for entertainment over the years but they all had their way of playing, leading the special one to two Champions League trophies in six years. Don't expect any Pellegrini style witchhunts. Mourinho will be given plenty of time to sort this out.

Trouble is Barcelona may already be out of sight. They picked up just where they left off last season with a demolition job on Racing Santander, orchestrated by the irresistible front three of Iniesta, Messi and debutant David Villa. All three got on the scoresheet, with Andres Iniestas goal a sublime first-time volleyed effort from well outside the area. Elsewhere, there were convincing wins for Sevilla and Valencia, as the usual suspects failed to disappoint on the opening day of the season. Out of the three new kids on the block, only Real Sociedad chalked up three points with a noteworthy victory over perennial slow starters Villarreal, while Levante and Hercules will have to wait until next week for their second chance to get precious early points on the board.

Racing Santander 0 - 3 Barcelona
(0-1) 4' Messi, (0-2) 33' Iniesta, (0-3) 62' Villa

Just check out Iniestas piece of magic. Out of this world. Leo Messi already gets his Pichichi 2010/2011 campaign off and running with a delightful chipped effort, while Victor Valdes began his hunt for the Zamora in fine fettle after repelling Tchites penalty. Barcelona already into their glorious stride and David Villa finds the back of the net on his league debut. Racing coach Miguel Portugal reckons they are even stronger than last season. Ominous.

Mallorca 0 - 0 Real Madrid

Not the start Jose Mourinho was looking for. Real Madrid created a wealth of chances, but with Higuain in misfiring mood and Mallorcas defence/keeper on fire, a 0-0 draw was inevitable. Things got worse for Mourinho when Cristiano Ronaldo was ruled out for 2/3 weeks after the match was a muscle strain. Queit debut for Canales, while Carvalho looked solid and Özil more than useful when he joined the party late on.

Levante 1 - 4 Sevilla
(1-0) 10' Ruben Suarez (p), (1-1) 12' Konko, (1-2) 28' Negredo (p), (1-3) 62' Konko, (1-4) 87' Renato

Sevillas post Spanish Supercup/Champions League elimination hangover looked to have dragged over to La Liga when Levante took an early lead, but well taken goals from unlikely source Konko, and a penalty from Negredo got the Sevillanos back on track. Levante early candidates for bottom place on this showing.

Espanyol 3 - 1 Getafe
(1-0) 33' Osvaldo, (2-0) 54' Osvaldo, (2-1) 61' Galan (o.g), (3-1) 94' Datolo

Espanyol, spurred on by their victory in the Trofeo Ramon Carranza, hit the ground running with red hot striker Osvaldo blasting two in a convincing win over a dissapointing Getafe. Life could be difficult for the Madrileños without Pedro Leon and Roberto Soldado.

Deportivo La Coruña 0 - 0 Real Zaragoza

Real Zaragoza did more than enough to put Depor to the sword in a drab match, but a combination of slack forward play and a quite incredible miss from new boy Marco Perez (see video!) meant Los Maños left with only a point. Could be a long season for Depor on this evidence.

Osasuna 0 - 0 Almería

This match was never going to set the world alight but a goal would have been nice. Neither team attacked, neither team looked like scoring. Both teams seemed happy to finish the match with a point. You won't see many goals from Almeria or Osasuna this season.

Real Sociedad 1 - 0 Villarreal
(1-0) 57' Xabi Prieto

Real Sociedad coach Martin Lasarte opted to go for local youth for their first tie back in the big time and it worked wonders. Carlos Martinez and Xabi Prieto put in quality performances with the latter grabbing the all important goal that got the team from San Sebastian off to a winning start. Villarreal were just dismal. Will we see a repeat of their infamous start to 2009/2010?

Malaga 1 - 3 Valencia
(0-1) 9' Aduriz, (1-1) 44' Sebas Fernandez, (1-2) 70' Joaquin, (1-3) 74' Joaquin

There are many, myself included, that thought Valencia would struggle badly this season after losing Villa and Silva. Yesterday proved us wrong. For the time being at least. As long as Joaquin continues to produce match-winning cameos and Aritz Aduriz keeps banging them in, they'll be fine. Staying tight at the back will be vital. Does Cesar have another cracking season in him?

Hercules 0 - 1 Athletic Bilbao
(0-1) 46' Llorente

Hercules found out the hard way. Missed chances and a failure to capitalise on incessant pressure will be punished, especially when big Fernando Llorente is around. The World Cup winner stooped to head in a 46th minute winner to get his team out of a tricky situation against a lively home side who faded badly as the second half wore on.

Atletico Madrid  4 - 0 Sporting Gijon
(1-0) 11' Jurado, (2-0)  40' Forlan, (3-0) 62' Forlan, (4-0) 93' Simao

A breathtaking performance from Atletico. Jurado waved goodbye to the Vicente Calderon with a goal and a dazzling display, with Diego Forlan continuing his scoring form from the World Cup. Even the much-maligned Tomas Ujfalusi chipped in with a marauding display down the right that will give young left back Canella nightmares for weeks to come. Simaos late goal was an absolute beauty. European Supercup winners and top of the league. Not a bad week for Quiques men.

Goldcoast (Part 2)

Like i said previous entry, i will end my Goldcoast topic in this short entry. So the other place that we would be visiting will be Warner Bros Movie World !! What can i say? Every kids dream place to be, all your favourite cartoon / comic characters are walking around in parade, taking pictures with kids! From Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird , Batman and all their wonderful friends !!

So remember the roller coaster ride i posted earlier? Yep i did mention in the end i made a mistake, i thought it was at dream world, but actually its here!! It's called "Lethal Weapon" haha, i will surely sit on it if we do go... I am not sure if we have time to go all 3 places, we only have 2 nights, so most likely we gotta sacrifice one of it. Maybe Sea World :(

Looking at all this images just brings me back to my youth, i remember hugging batman and others while i was there lol :P If only Ninja Turtles were there haha i would probably faint, hahahaha!!

That probably it for our 3days adventure in Goldcoast, we will be staying at my cousins place in Brisbane on the 14th, then fly off to Great Barrier Reef on the 15th :) I can already imagine how beautiful that island will be, i can dare say it will be the best island i will ever be going up to date. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

HERE I COME Australia!! 1 month plus to goooooooooooooooooooo!

Fantasizing

Now that i have resigned, i have so much more free time on my hands, what better way to spend it and fantasize on my upcoming holiday. I will start off with Goldcoast Australia, i haven't been there since i was 15, that's 11 years ago. O_o The only down part is that we're only spending 2 nights in Goldcoast, 12th-14th October and there are plenty of things to do there, just an example:-

1)Movie World
2)White Water World
3)Sea World
4)Dream World
5)Shopping

I'm usually not the biggest fan for shopping, but whenever you ask someone about Australian shopping, they will all say it's very cheap and there's so many factory outlets around, that makes it MUCH cheaper as well !! I've been to Australia a couple of times, and each time i go, definitely buy back some really great deals on clothes. So i'm very much excited for shopping too i would say, not just my baby :D

Goldcoast Australia, also known as The Surfers Paradise there.

Ok, Let's kick things off on where we're staying!! Thanks to my sister that lives in Melbourne, they always advertise promotions package for accommodation on TV or Newspaper. Therefore she text me and we quickly survey on the few hotels that were on promotions. We finally made up our mind on VIBE Hotel, it's a 4.5 star hotel!! Baby and i have been going to many trips together and we finally get to stay in a high class hotel for once! HEHEHE

Enjoy stunning views over the Nerang River or the ocean from our Aqua View room, only minutes from the beaches and shops, you will love the location.

How can you say no to that ? Plus we got it at an amazing price thanks to my sister :) So moving along, apart from our lovely accommodation, we will go to Movie World and Sea World. I am not so keen on White water world as we have beaches along the hotels and we'll be going Great Barrier Reef later on. If we still have time i would love to go Dream World tho, the rides they have in that amusement park is epic! I once sat a roller coaster leg hanging out and damn its scary! :P OK i have just stole some images from google and i have just decided WE ARE DEFINITELY going ! Check it out:-

i think this was the rollercoaster! Or maybe not.

"Giant Drop officially declared the tallest, vertical free fall ride in the world by guiness record book 1999 (Standing 199meters 39 storeys high)" Omg!! LOOL I am very very sure my baby still remembers the experience in Genting with me! " IMAGINE THAT x2 ?! This is the Australian Legend Trademark ride! HAHAHA!

They call this "Tower Of Terror" Oh man we're getting on this baby!! :D

and THIS!! "The Claw" Voted the BEST and Scariest RIDE EVER LOL!!

I can tell why now :/ LOL

But don't worry baby, i have also checked, they have kids rides too :D And i present you Spongbob Flypants HAHAHAHAHA! Classic.

and if that's not enough, they have Wild Life attraction to visit as well :)

The infamous Australian Koala Bears

Kangaroos :)

OMG that's just dream world, i have not even post Sea World & Movie World yet @___@!! I think i should write Movie world in another entry. Lets move on to Sea world, its pretty standard and we all know what they will have:-

1)Snorkeling with sharks
2)Polar Bears
3)Big Aquarium with sharks , rays in it.
4)Dolphin shows
5)Penguins

It sounds pretty boring, but i love polar bears and penguins. They are just so adorable, and since i have dived with sharks and all in the real sea, this kinda attractions dont really excite me anymore :P

I am very sure you're allowed to swim with dolphins too, but that might cost you quite a bit.
Since my baby has been longing to swim with them, we might just do it. Before i end my post, just a few pictures on the shopping outlets!!

Ahh GOD i can't wait! LOVE LOVE Goldcoast, will post Movie World entry next time :)

PS: Quick Update, the rollercoaster written on top is actually at Movie World! :) I found it, haha sorry for the wrong info ~

Official

I have finally tender my resignation in CIMB, i have been with the bank for 2 years. I was in the mortgage loan department, and have learn so much in the 2 years i was there. Previously i was in real estate, and when customers asked me about bank loans and etc.. I had no idea what to answer except "i don't know much about loans, but i can assist you in finding a sales person to call you" -__- Sometimes my customers do have second thoughts on the house when they do not have faith in the property agent, plus i was hella young to be in that line, so that dint help very much at all :( That was how i decided to jump into the banking loan side, and now i kinda know the best of both worlds.

Made many new good and fun friends in my 2years there, and when it comes to flexibility of working hours, i have the best boss in the world for that. As long as you show the figure by end of the month, you can do whatever you want :) I am very bumped that i will be losing that flexible work hours, as i am those who hates fix job hours, sometimes i wonder how my friends or people does it.

So what are my future plans ? I should be going to another bank and hopefully do better than what i did in CIMB. I was suppose to join RHB with a friend of mine, but no promises on his side if they will accept me in Nov. I am taking the whole of October break, cause of my sisters wedding and my baby will be in KL, so i would love to dedicate all my time to her since we only have limited time together. Everything should be fine (my career) I hope? :D

I have to serve one month notice in the bank, therefore my final day is on the 26th September, i will be in Perhentian Island then :D:D !! I have this mad imagination, to work in the island, LOL ! Fuck city life, all the worries for money, traffic jams, paperworks, screw that for 1 year, and relax in the beach where time doesn't matter.. Maybe i should, haha =p

I am 26 this year, oh dear how the hell i end up so old. I was just 19 when i first knew my girlfriend, and no i did not date her when she was 15, haha. We started dating 3years later, that could be a huge reason why we're still together, we kinda knew each other really well, we spoke every night and i swear i mean every night, whether its through the internet, phone, text messages. We could argue and get mad even when we were just friends, that's pretty silly haha, but life has change.. i can't believe shes 22 this year too. We both have our own responsibility now, i wont lie, at times i hate it. The time difference doesn't help as usual, but i guess thats long distance relationship to you. But as long as we continue to trust and love one another, i don't see any issue =)

That's it for my random entry, Happy Merdeka all =)

Kaka

This picture made my evening (source: kickette)

I may have to consider DL-ing all Brazil's matches during the 2010 worldcup. As in honestly, I'm that close to actually doing that. Kaka is one fine man. He is perfection :) and as my fail Italian knowledge would permit:
lui è molto perfetto ♥. perfezione = Kaka
I'm sure I'll learn more about this man in the weeks to come. And he may even rise higher in my top footballer's list ;)

Europa League Groups 2010/2011 - Sevilla and Getafe handed tough groups

As if getting knocked out of the Champions League before the group draw was even made wasn't bad enough, Sevilla were dealt another blow as the Europe League 2010/2011 draw placed them in a group with PSG, Borussia Dortmund and Ukranian outfit Karpaty Lviv. Certainly not plain sailing. Atletico Madrid, fresh from putting reigning Champions League winner Inter Milan to the sword in the UEFA Supercup in Monaco, were drawn with Bayern Leverkusen, Rosenburg and Thessalonika, and having held on to World Cup hero Diego Forlan and Sergio Agüero over the summer they'll surely fancy their chances of progressing to the knock out stages as they look to retain the trophy they won in May against Fulham.

The other two Liga sides in the draw, Getafe and Villarreal, had mixed fortunes. Getafe were drawn in a beast of a group with Stuttgart favorites to go through as group winners, whilst Villarreal will see themselves as the big guns in their group. Games will be played on 16 and 30 September, 22 October, 4 November, 1/2 and 15/16 December as the Europa League reverts its format to a more Champions League type of affair, as the top two go through. Looking at some of those groups, this Europe League promises to be entertaining: Man City v Juventus the pick of the ties. Prediction: Villarreal, Sevilla and Atletico to go through. Getafe to finish an antagonising third.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUPS 2010/2011 - Real Madrid drawn in group of death

Here you have the Champions League draw which gave us the groups for the 2010/2011 edition of the most glamourous competition in world football. Three Liga teams were in the draw and whilst Barcelona will be relatively happy with the three teams they've been pitched against, although it does include another tough trip out to Rubin Kazan once more, Valencia and even more so, Real Madrid, will be feeling a little hard done by. Valencia face tricky ties against Manchester United and Turkish unknowns Bursaspor, while Real Madrid will have to negotiate their way out of a group containing AC Milan, Ajax and Auxerre. Quite a few European trophies out of that lot. Mourinhos baptism of fire. My prediction: All three to make it to the knock-out stages.

English Premier League 2010/2011

YES It's back!! Football season restarted 2 weeks ago, and Manchester United currently has 1 win 1 draw (4points in total) We dropped 2 points @ Fulham when we could have wrapped up the game if Nani converted the penalty when it was 2-1 scoreline. Unfortunately not long after the miss, Fulham came back to equalize and the game ended at 2-2 tie :(

Early in the season and we're behind the leaders Chelsea (reigning champions) with 2 wins in 2 games. They did not just win both their games but they tore apart the 2 teams they played, with both ended in 6-0 score line... -______- ! What a way to set the bar so early in the season..

The transfer window will be shut on the 31'st August, according to Sir Alex Ferguson latest interview, there won't be anymore signings this summer for the Red Devils. To be perfectly honest i am pretty upset we did not sign an Attacking Midfielder :( Hopefully this team is enough to challenge and regain the league title back to Manchester!!!!!!!!

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez has got off a good start by scoring in the Community Shield against Chelsea, but have not broken his duck in the league just yet. Only time will tell how great of a player he could turn out to be!

COME ON RED DEVILS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Dad, Swimming and Andrii

As I exited my room, my dad called me "Machay (my nickname), a swimming competition's on TV".

It's not that I'm a swimmer (I can't swim) but my family is aware of my Phelps addiction and everytime they see a swimmer they immediately think of me and Phelps, hahaha. How cute is that?

Just as I was channel surfing a few minutes back, I saw an awarding ceremony of the YOG (youth olympic games), and I saw him, Ukraine's Andrii Govorov, from whatI've read, he's 18 and he has won two gold medals in swimming, now now now, what have we got here? I'm hoping I'll see more of him in future competitions :D

My favorite football players

I felt the urge to post my favorite football players =) But first, please bear in mind that I'm a newbie fan, and my knowledge of players will only be limited to those who played in WC 2010 (mostly Spain NT players).

My preference is pretty much influenced by whether a player is married or not (hahahahahaha). Ranks #1 and #2 are important, as for the rest, the numbers don't matter that much since I'm still confused on who I like better.

1. Sergio Ramos. You shouldn't be surprised. He's El Ramos. No matter what happens, he'll forever be my number 1.

2.5 David Villa. If he isn't married yet, then it would have been better. Still fatherhood suits him best. There's something about David Villa that draws anyone to him, don't you agree?

2.5 Cesc Fabregas. Ever since I first saw him play in the WC, I was bothered. Bothered by his presence, I think I was curious and entranced. His name says it all.

4. Fernando Torres. Nando oh Nando. You're the reason why I discovered my love for football. Plus we share the same birthday so you'll always be special. And what's Sernando without Fernando?

5. Kaka. Though I haven't seen him play, still everytime I see him, I can't help but feel that he's one of the humblest and kindest person ever.

6. David Silva. There's this thing about him I can't explain.

7. Mesut Ozil. Don't even ask me why.

8. Jesus Navas. It's his eyes.

9. Alvaro Arbeloa. Thank goodness he's on twitter, or else I wouldn't discover how funny/amazing he is. HAHA. Everytime I see him, I can't help but smile :)

10. Joachim Loew. He's a coach I know, but I'm sure you've seen him in WC 2010.

There you have it my favorite football players as of the moment. You might be wondering how about the runner-ups?

Well here they are: Guti (too bad I never saw him play), Iker, Muller, Wesley Sneijder (anyone who saw him cry during the finals will feel his sorrow TT), Xabi, Puyi (ahaha, more of like a father figure for me, though he is single) and Ronaldo (it's a like-hate feeling i have of him)
