Three days later Miranda wakes up to find that she is now

Bad Day at Black Rock

Black Rock is the town that civilization forgot, they like to keep to themselves which is why it’s such a shock when the steamliner stops in their town for the first time in four years and John J. Macreedy gets off intent to spend 24 hours in the town. Macreedy soon realizes that something is lurking beneath the hostility of the towns residents, something that has to do with the man he is

Tron

I will fully admit that I loved Tron as a child but I didn’t remember a thing about it. I knew Jeff Bridges somehow got sucked into a video game and had to fight his way out and that was about all my knowledge other than it thrilled me beyond belief as a kid. As I sat at Comic-Con this year holding my Flynn’s Arcade token and seeing test footage from Tron Legacy I realized I should try again

Moon

While counting down the days Sam begins to see things and after an accident wakes up to find another Sam Bell on the station. So far 2009 has been an incredible year for sci-fi and Moon is one of the sci-fi films that strikes me

The Signal

Inglourious Basterds

Inglourious BasterdsOriginally uploaded by AsceticMonkI don’t recall ever having as fun a time at a war movie as I just had at Inglourious Basterds. Inglourious Basterds is a wonderful contradiction as a film. It is set in a historical event, but does not follow history. It is an action film, but it delivers consistent laughs. It has great characters, but they are far too exaggerated to be real.

the holy month of ramadhan al-mubaraq

Ramadhan kembali menjelang.
Selamat Menjalani Ibadah Berpuasa

i sincerely wish all of my Muslim friends, a very safe and
Pahala-filled Ramadhan.

May we remind each other of our shortcomings and
improve on them, so that we do not waste 30 days with mere hunger and thirst.

stoked part 9

part 9 of the stoked series
from rockmidgets.com:

Yeah, yeah, good things come in small packages and all that crap, but Surrender really does take the piss. The second of two EPs from the seminal Philadelphia outfit this year, following on from June's Amnesia on Bridge Nine, Surrender
clocks in at under seven minutes and is nothing short of fantastic.

Opening things up in style, 'Sacred' is one of the best tracks of 2009,
with its frantic guitars leading up to a killer chorus and a superb
sing-along second half, while the heavy stop-start rhythms of 'Worms'
shows that Paint It Black can do much more than just super fast, super
pissed off offerings, like the 46 second long 'Cipher' which follows
afterwards.

Everything Paint It Black have done to date has been bloody great, and Surrender is no exception, in fact it could arguably be their best work yet.

Tracklist:

1.Sacred 1:47
2.Worms 2:17
3.Cipher 0:46
4.Surrender 2:02
[Sacred lyrics: "I used to feel safe, oblivious to the mess I left in my wake. Now I try
to give more than I take. But there’s more at stake than the nights I
spent awake. It turns out I’ve got a selfish streak, and I repeat the
same mistakes. Seconds, hours, minutes, days.  I feel it slipping away.
Did I mention that I’m fucking scared? I can feel the decay, but I
can’t say it caught me unawares.  New bruises, new pills. Fate will not
fight fair; the clock will not stand still.  “Ask me why & I’ll
spit in your eye.” We’re all Still Ill. Today I felt the time slipping
away. We’ll push the fear out of the way."]
