La Liga Sunday Preview 22.11.09



Sunday offers six interesting fixtures with teams already fighting for their lives at the foot of the table. Malaga, Xerez and Valladolid will all be looking for wins to give themselves some breathing space and diffuse the panic. Villarreal are looking to maintain their recent fightback in the league, whilst Mallorca, Valencia and Sporting will all be hoping to continue their excellent starts to 2009.



Villarreal - Valladolid (5pm)
  • Villarreal want to continue their rise up the table, but Valladolid won't make life easy for the Yellow Submarine
  • Ariel Ibergaza set to return and will be the creator at the head of an attacking midfield line-up
  • Valladolid to also send out attacking formation, with Nauzet and Canobbio the potential threats to Diego Lopez's goal

Osasuna - Valencia (9pm)
  • Osasuna are a match for anyone in the Reyno Navarra. Will look to take advantage of set plays.
  • Valencia have Juan Mata missing, with Joaquin hoping to make the most of his chance
  • Referee under pressure after declarations from Valencia manager Unai Emery. He will need to be strong in hostile atmosphere
