Yesterday, in a mad rush to meet Alexandra for lunch I cycled through the film set of "The Oxford Murders" with Elijah Wood coming out of Blackwell's. I thought Hmm, Cool, maybe I'll get a Hobbit autograph tomorrow and went on my way. (And does Elijah really smoke or is that just for the film?)
At lunchtime today I noticed that there were lots of police cars parked in front of College and the entire square was cordoned off. The police and forensic team looked very convincing. I was about to take photos and felt smug that I could get so close to the film set.
I was met at the gate by Dave who said it was an actual crime scene. "Are you serious? These guys are real?" Yes they were.
