Another Day Out with the Dawgs on a Chu-chu train

His Royal Orangeness Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit woke me up very early in the morning!

HRO Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit told me excitedly that today we can ride an old train from Ouro Preto to Mariana, cutting across spectacular mountain passes. I told them they were crazy, there are no trains in Brasil...

Obviously, I was wrong. HRO Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit even presented me a working scale model..

And so ambled along to the train station. HRO Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit waited eagerly for the train to arrive....

HRO Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit are such train buffs....

HRO Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit look for their seats. Look at that marvelous wood paneling. Very few trains have such understated elegance.

PA/PR Gromit remarks how civilised and stress free this train trip was....

The dawgs admire the loo fixtures. Even better than the Alpine trains we are used to, says PA/PR Gromit.

It was a leisurely 1 hour middle-altitude train ride overlooking fertile valleys....

At Mariana we refilled our stomachs with some local delicacies from the restaurant caboose....

After getting information from the pretty natives, HRO Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit are ready to gallivant around another UNESCO-listed city...
